I have to tell you that I think like Akio Toyoda, Toyota’s number one.
He explained that we should expect a major flop in the electric car industry.
I hope you haven’t really thought about buying one. I mean, it is better than those running on petrol or diesel, which are smelly and cause major pollution; but you have to look further.
It must also be said that electric cars do not solve the problem of pollution produced by our road traffic.
You will continue to breathe bad and toxic air because of the jeep or SUV you drive.
Furthermore, the electric car causes anxiety; with the fear of running out of battery.
In fact, there are still very few charging stations in the country. Most of all, it takes time to recharge the battery, at least 15 minutes for a partial recharge.
These are just two of the major problems that this trendy option faces.
The real future lies instead in the hydrogen engine, I have to tell you about this news.
I am an almost millionaire Italian entrepreneur. I am used to making decisions only after having thoroughly studied every aspect.
In the end, I will tell you why hydrogen should be the fuel of future cars; those of our children.
But first, the major problem related to classic electric cars is their energy-storing batteries.
Because the pollution of the air and the environment is not only caused by what comes out of the exhaust.
Take this comical comparison as an example. You know when you step on dog poop that is hidden by a leaf? The leaf had just recently fallen and lay beautifully on the ground, however, there was a big stinky pile of shit underneath it!
This is the same thing that happens with the energy boxes.
BATTERIES HIDE POLLUTION
There is a recent study that was conducted by the Swedish Environmental Research Institute in Stockholm.
According to the researchers’ calculations, a battery that offers a range of about 93 miles produces 5.3 tons of CO2; this is what a battery produces during its production.
“A larger battery, which guarantees a range of up to 373 miles, produces up to 17.5 tons of CO2.”
In other words, if you have a nicer electric car, you are doing more damage to the environment.
The study compares this figure with the carbon dioxide that goes into the environment with the consumption of gasoline. This is what a car needs to run for 93,206 Miles (the average life of a vehicle).
The research talks about the total pollution of 5.2 tons of carbon dioxide.
To be honest, the petrol car also releases exhaust gases, but batteries are a disaster when they need to be disposed of.
So, as you can see, electric cars with batteries aren’t as “green” as they told us.
Indeed, if you think that the trend is to buy cars with more and more autonomy, think again.
The reason is obvious; not everyone lives in cities where daily car journeys are short. This is another problem that is going to screw us. People and the automotive industry need to think this over before pursuing it further.
Here’s what the well-known British magazine Autocar also says, which was based on a study by the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL).
“Increasingly larger batteries have a more critical environmental impact than smaller accumulators.”
Unfortunately, no one wants a cart to go from your house to the bar, and back.
I assume that you also want to feel free with your car to go with your family to the lake or to the mountains, taking a nice two-day tour.
And in fact, here’s what the TRL study points out:
Only 50% of motorists would buy a battery-powered car with an autonomy of 199 miles. The percentage rises to 90% if the range is 299 miles.
THE DISADVANTAGES OF ELECTRIC CARS: THE RETURN TO THE AGE OF COAL
What happens if I build a vehicle with large batteries?
1- Car costs increase a lot
2- Carbon dioxide production is huge (as seen)
3- The additional weight affects the performance of the vehicle
We are back to square one. It seemed that we had entered the future, but instead, we are at the starting point.
I’ll add another detail while enjoying a delicious cup of hot coffee in front of my computer; it helps me think better.
To make these batteries, highly sought-after materials are required; for example cobalt and lithium.
Both must be mined from the ground.
It seems to me that we have returned to the coal age rather than going towards the future.
These materials are found mainly in Australian quarries, in China, and in the so-called “Lithium Triangle” in South America.
So listen to this statement. It was written in the report “The Battery Paradox” (2020), published by the independent research center on multinationals SOMO.
“The unprecedented increase in the demand for these and other raw materials generates serious risks related to human rights and the environment.”
“And it leads us to think about how sustainable and equitable a transition based on the mass diffusion of electric vehicles really is.”
Dear friend, we are facing the same problems again; but there is a solution that is more respectful of the environment.
HERE IS THE CLEAN CAR OF THE FUTURE
What you should consider buying is the hydrogen car, because it uses the gasoline of the future.
Hydrogen does not exist in nature; there is very little of it and it has to be produced.
There is a way of doing it that is very natural: breaking down water which is made up of oxygen and hydrogen.
Think about a hamburger; you only need the meat, so you open it, you release it from the bottom and top (salad, sauce, cheese), and keep only the meat. Is so simple.
But in reality, to do this process on water, electricity is needed.
I know it looks like a dog chasing its tail but follow me, we’re almost there.
The hydrogen, referred to as green, is the one produced by decomposing water using the energy produced, for example, by wind farms; basically, from sustainable sources.
It is called clean hydrogen.
In this way, waste is no longer thrown into the environment; almost zero. No mines are opened and the hydrogen car has many advantages.
1- It only emits water vapor into the air.
2- It recharges in no time, about 5 minutes.
3- With a full tank, you can go up to 435 miles.
General Motors created the first hydrogen passenger car, in 1966, with the GM Electrovan.
There are four models on the market today. Without a doubt, the costs are higher than for a petrol vehicle but no higher than the new battery-powered ones.
But the revolution has just begun. You can join it today or wait and really buy the car of the future; a vehicle that is clean and loves the nature that surrounds you.
